After nearly five years with the Georgia Forestry Commission, I saw firsthand the unique challenges women landowners face, especially when they unexpectedly inherit forestland, which is what led me to start my own business, Land and Ladies in 2020. In 2016, I began developing women-focused workshops to help bridge that gap. Along the way, I had the opportunity to work with the nationally recognized Sustainable Forestry and Land Retention Program, both through GFC and later as a private forestry consultant. These experiences strengthened my skills in landowner education and deepened my understanding of the complex issues surrounding generational land and succession planning. In 2025, all of this came full circle where I now work on the ground with land management services and my real estate license — helping landowners take confident, sustainable steps for their family and land's future.
My Education & Licenses:
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Forest Resources in wildlife sciences in 2012 from the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources and continued to receive my Master of Forest Resources in 2013. I received by registered forestry license for Georgia in 2018 (RF#2997), and in the Spring in 2025 I officially received by real estate licensing for Georgia (#446865) with the Keller Williams Golden Isles Agency.
Having served in several leadership roles and being involved with the Georgia Forestry Association since 2014, and leadership positions at the regional, state and local chapter level of the Society of American Foresters (SAF) since 2014, I'm very in tune and integrated within the forest industry as a whole. I understand the processes from seed to stump. I'm a registered forester in Georgia (#2997) and since 2016 I've had a specialty in women's focused landownership training development, which led to a partnership with the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry to the launching of my first business Land and Ladies in 2020. As of 2025, God has called me to close the chapter on Land and Ladies and move into real estate sales and back to the woods in land management. However, to this day, I still lead my local SAF chapter a decade later and continue to expand my involvement in land management and land real estate sales in Georgia and across the Southeast.
For us, land is a family affair—and a calling. I’m a wife, a homeschooling mom of three, and a fellow landowner of 41 acres of mixed hardwood-pine forest that we actively manage as a family. My husband, Daniel, and I are both Georgia Registered Foresters with over a decade of hands-on experience helping others steward their land well. Whether it’s food plot development, bushhogging, reforestation, pond stocking, or timber sales—we don’t just offer land services, we live them out daily. And above all, we see this work as a form of service. Genesis 2:15 reminds us that we were placed in the garden to tend and keep it, and that stewardship still matters today. That’s why we approach every property with care, purpose, and the understanding that good management honors both the land and the Creator who gave it. The first step is a personalized forest management plan—crafted by me, with your goals, your property, and your vision at the center of it all.
