Experience with the Georgia Forestry Commission, with the nationally awarded Sustainable Forest Land Retention program, and owning my consulting business to active leadership involvement with the Society of American Foresters and the Georgia Forestry Association, I have over 10 years' experience under my belt.

What is your experience in the real estate industry?

After 10 years of giving forestry advice, in 2025 I've taken the next step to attain my realtors license in Georgia where I can now help families start their land investment journey, and help families navigate tough decisions to sell their land. Buying land is similar to making the right forest management decisions; by understanding your ultimate goal I take the last 10 years' worth of expertise to ensure you're getting the best land deals that align with your long-term goals.

Do you require clients to sign a contract?

Yes, but not until after we have a free, no-pressure initial consultation. During this conversation we will determine what your goals and needs are, and whether I am the best fit for you! If I'm not, I promise to be 100% honest and will leave you with a few recommendations to get you in the right direction for the best outcome for you. If you like what you hear and we feel we're a great fit together, the next step will be to sign a contract outlining my services and fees. This helps to ensure that we're both on the same page with expectations and responsibilities.

What should I know before buying land in Georgia?

There’s a lot more to it than just finding a pretty piece of property. I help buyers think through zoning, access, utilities, flood zones, and how the land lines up with your goals—whether that’s a future homesite, timber investment, or a hunting retreat. We walk through all of that together.

Where is the best location for buying land?

That's a loaded question because there are a variety of factors which need to be considered: how far you want to be from the land, overall goals and purpose, market opportunities, and future developmental growth of the area. The most important of these are your goals and long-term plans for the land which will guide "best location" for you.

What’s the difference between a recreational tract and an investment tract?

Recreational tracts are usually for personal use—like hunting, camping, or just having a quiet place to get away. Investment tracts, on the other hand, are focused on income—usually timber, farming, or development. Some properties are both. And just because you want a recreational tract, doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to create sustainable revenue. Likewise, just because a property is an investment tract doesn't mean you can't enjoy it personally for recreation. I'll help you better understand your priorities so you can ensure to get the RIGHT property to truly match your goals.

How does financing work when buying land?

Land loans are a bit different than home loans. Most lenders want a larger down payment and offer shorter terms. I can connect you with folks who specialize in land financing so you know exactly what to expect and get the process started on the right foot.

What if I don’t live in Georgia full-time?

That’s totally fine—many of my buyers are out-of-state. I’ll be your boots on the ground here, keeping things moving, doing walkthroughs, sending photos, and helping you find local pros for any work you need done after closing.

What areas of Georgia do you serve for forestry consulting?

My boots on the ground services are based in Southeast Georgia, with primary focus on Glynn, Brantley, Wayne, Camden, and McIntosh Counties—but we consult on projects across South Georgia and North Florida, depending on the scope. I also can provide online guidance for those outside my region! I'm always willing to give you my ear and help however I can.

How much does a forest management consultation cost?

Initial consultations are usually free, depending on the service scope. I'll review your property and recommend next steps with no pressure to commit. My goal is to guide you with clarity and trust whether you choose to continue working with me or want to pursue the work with your own tractor.

That’s one of the most common questions I get—and the good news is, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll help you understand your land’s value, go over your goals, and create a custom game plan. When it comes to value, remember it's more than just acreage. In my free valuation, I consider things like timber value, location, road access, zoning, nearby sales, and what kind of buyer your property would attract.
